Beirut: Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Thursday sponsored the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Lebanese government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). This agreement is aimed at improving the coordination and management of foreign aid. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the MoU was signed at the Grand Serail by Judge Mahmoud Makkieh, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, and Abdallah Al Dardari, Director of the UNDP Bureau for Arab States. Mikati held a meeting with Al Dardari, which was attended by UNDP Lebanon Resident Representative Blerta Aliko and an accompanying delegation. In a separate meeting, Mikati engaged with Members of Parliament Wael Abu Faour and Bilal Abdallah to discuss the situation of displaced individuals in the Mount region. Additionally, Mikati met with Armenia's Ambassador to Lebanon, Vahagn Atabekyan, to deliberate on the general situation and the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Armenia.
