Beirut: Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, on Wednesday honored renowned TV and film director and producer, Ahmad Al-Ashi, during a ceremony at the Ministry of Information. Al-Ashi was accompanied by his wife, journalist Souad Karout, as part of a series of tributes to luminaries who contributed to the legacy of T©l© Liban.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Al-Ashi expressed his gratitude, describing the recognition as "a beautiful initiative by Minister Makary toward individuals who laid the foundation of T©l© Liban and excelled in their work." He noted that the honor provides a sense of motivation and euphoria, even as individuals advance in age and reach retirement.
In turn, Minister Makary extended his gratitude to media outlets for highlighting the success of 'Album Al-Asala', a program aired on T©l© Liban. He particularly acknowledged Marcel Nadeem, Editor-in-Chief of 'Prestige' magazine, for hosting a celebration in honor of the show after 30 episodes.
