Beirut: The Iranian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Wahid Jalalzadeh, undertook a series of meetings and visits in Lebanon, engaging with high-ranking officials and community leaders. His schedule included significant diplomatic and cultural engagements, underscoring the robust Iran-Lebanon relations.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mr. Jalalzadeh's day began with a meeting at 10:00 am with Major General Elias Bissari, the Acting General Director of General Security. This meeting was followed by a discussion at 11:15 am with Dr. Abdullah Bou Habib, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the Caretaker Government, further cementing diplomatic ties between the two nations.
At 1:15 pm, Mr. Jalalzadeh met with House Speaker Nabih Berri, highlighting the importance of parliamentary relations and legislative cooperation. The Iranian official then paid respects to the martyrs of the Resistance by visiting their graves in Raudat al-Shahidin and the place of martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah in Haret Hreik at 3:00 pm.
Later in the afternoon, at 4:00 pm, Mr. Jalalzadeh participated in a meeting involving mayors and mukhtars from border villages. This meeting, held at the South Lebanon Council Building in Bir Hassan, included discussions with Engineer Hashim Haidar, Kamal Hayek, and Dr. Waseem Dahir about the return of residents to their villages, addressing critical infrastructure challenges in the region.
The day concluded with a social event at 8:00 pm, the Health Night "Queen of Queen" at the Venice Intercontinental Hotel. This event, patronized by the Minister of Information and organized in collaboration with Sense-I Company and BSC Center, launched the "Arab Queen of Fitness" initiative. The initiative focuses on promoting health among media professionals, reflecting a broader cultural diplomacy effort.
