President Joseph Aoun Engages with Sovereign Order of Malta Delegation at Baabda Palace

Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, emphasized the challenges and possibilities facing Lebanon, stating, "the country's rise is a difficult task, yet not impossible, given the presence of genuine will." He underscored the necessity of international support for Lebanon on both economic and political fronts.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun articulated these thoughts during a meeting at Baabda presidential palace with Riccardo Patern² di Montecupo, the Grand Chancellor and Minister of Foreign and Internal Affairs of the Sovereign Order of Malta. The delegation also included Maria America Cortese, the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Lebanon, and Marwan Sehnaoui, President of the Lebanese Association of the Sovereign Order of Malta.

Di Montecupo extended congratulations from the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, John Dunlap, to President Aoun on his election and wished him success in his presidential term. The meeting reportedly covered discussions on the overall situation in Lebanon and the various projects the Order of Malta is undertaking in the country.
