Tyre: The Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (LADE) on Saturday reported that a candidate on a municipal list in Tyre was violently assaulted while speaking with a journalist.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, supporters of a rival list hurled insults at the journalist, and when the candidate objected, he was severely beaten.
LADE also recorded a temporary halt in voting at Jezzine Public High School, where polling was suspended for approximately 20 minutes. These incidents are part of the association's ongoing monitoring of violations and complaints during the electoral process.
