Ahmad Hariri Votes in Sidon, Hints at Future Movement’s Political Resurgence

Beirut: Future Movement Secretary-General, Ahmad Hariri, on Saturday cast his vote in Sidon, signaling a possible political comeback. Hariri, whose familial ties to the region include his grandmother from the Hijazi family, emphasized his local roots during the voting process. In response to comments made by his mother, MP Bahia Hariri, regarding the potential return of the Future Movement to parliamentary elections, he described it as "a hopeful message" and assured that follow-up steps would be taken.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hariri expressed satisfaction with the electoral process, extending his appreciation to the security forces, Army Commander Gen. Joseph Aoun, and Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar. He also showed support for disability rights advocate Sylvana Lakkis' demand for accessible polling stations. Hariri pledged to address this issue, stating, 'We'll work on it with you.'
