Saudi Arabia Expresses “Grave Concern” After US Strikes on Iran

Damascus: Saudi Arabia expressed "deep concern" over the US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling for a "political solution" to the current crisis.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), expressing the Kingdom's position on the situation. The statement noted, "The Kingdom is following...with deep concern the developments in the sisterly Islamic Republic of Iran, represented by the targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities by the United States of America."

The statement from the Ministry reiterated Saudi Arabia's "condemnation and denunciation of the violation of Tehran's sovereignty." It called for "restraint, calm, and avoidance of escalation," urging the international community to "redouble its efforts in these extremely sensitive circumstances to reach a political solution that ensures an end to the crisis and opens a new chapter in achieving security and stability in the region."
