Asunción: The EU Global Gateway strategy is already making strides in Paraguay with the launch of initial projects, setting a precedent and establishing a conducive environment for further developments. The upcoming EU-Paraguay Investment Forum 2025 is designed to forge new alliances between the EU and Paraguay by connecting Paraguayan investment opportunities with European investors, funders, and partners.
According to European Union, the EU-Paraguay Investment Forum 2025 is set to enhance European investment and trade connections with Paraguay by facilitating high-level discussions, strengthening trade partnerships, and creating opportunities in line with the Global Gateways key objectives. The event is organized in collaboration with the Investment and Export Network (REDIEX) of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the EU Delegation in Paraguay.
The forum, focusing on sustainable logistics and transport, will be held at the Central Bank of Paraguay Institute in Asunción from June 24 to June 25, 2025. It will feature simultaneous interpretation in Spanish and English for all presentations and Q&A sessions.
Paraguay offers various investment prospects due to its political and economic stability and supportive business climate. The government's attractive policies and recent upgrades in the country's investment ratings by international agencies have created a fertile ground for private foreign investment. The expanding sustainable value chains in forestry, energy, and transportation sectors also position Paraguay strategically among major Latin American markets. The EU-MERCOSUR Association Agreement is expected to further enhance the country's export potential.
The Forum's significance has been recognized by its declaration as an event of National Tourist Interest by the National Secretariat of Tourism (SENATUR), highlighting Paraguay's potential as a reliable destination for sustainable investments. With interest from 25 countries, including Argentina, Germany, and the United States, the forum presents a unique opportunity for networking and collaboration.
Participants will have the chance to engage with Paraguayan companies seeking investments, EU companies exploring Paraguayan opportunities, development finance institutions, and officials sharing insights on investment, trade, and financial support. EU institutions and embassies will also provide knowledge and facilitate contacts. By registering for the forum, attendees can access the B2match virtual platform for matchmaking and meeting planning.
