Tyre:Danish Ambassador to Lebanon Mette Thygesen visited the Union of Municipalities of Tyre District headquarters, joined by a delegation from the Danish Red Cross and Lebanese Red Cross.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the ambassador met with Union President Engineer Hassan Dbouk, who provided an overview of the Disaster Management Unit's work. The unit focuses on monitoring displaced families and addressing their humanitarian needs.
Dbouk expressed gratitude for Denmark's support to displaced communities facing challenging circumstances and acknowledged the Lebanese Red Cross's critical partnership in managing the Disaster Management Unit's operations and coordinating humanitarian responses.
Ambassador Thygesen praised the unit's work and the dedication of its personnel, emphasizing their commitment to supporting displaced families and addressing their humanitarian needs.
