Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raggi, on Wednesday received in his office, Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jesºs Santos Aguado, who briefed him on the ongoing preparations for the International Conference on Financing for Development, scheduled to be held at the end of this month in the Spanish city of Seville, in which Lebanon will participate.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussion also addressed relations between Lebanon and Spain, particularly at the political level. Ambassador Aguado commended the leadership of the former Spanish UNIFIL Commander, Major General Aroldo Lazaro, and affirmed "Spain's commitment to UNIFIL's role in Lebanon."
Ambassador Aguado also briefed Minister Raggi on the cultural activities carried out by the Spanish Embassy in Lebanon.
