Beirut: In a significant development for healthcare accessibility in South Lebanon, the CIMIC project concluded its delivery and installation of three new housing units designated as medical clinics. This milestone was marked by a closing ceremony attended by UNIFIL Western Sector Commander Gen. Nicola Mandolesi at the Tebnine Municipality.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the initiative is aimed at enhancing medical services in the region, providing essential healthcare facilities to local communities. The project's completion is seen as a critical step in addressing the medical needs of the municipalities in South Lebanon, which have been underserved in healthcare infrastructure.
Earlier in the day, a meeting of the subcommittee from the Parliamentary Committee on Education was held, chaired by MP Halima Kaakour, at the Education Committee Hall. The meeting, which took place in Room 410 of the Deputies' Offices Building, focused on various educational initiatives and policy discussions.
In another event, Metropolitan Elias Aoudeh hosted a delegation from the Lady of the Mountain Gathering, led by former MP Fares Souaid. Later, MP Melhem Khalaf also visited Metropolitan Elias Aoudeh, highlighting a day of significant political engagements.
Meanwhile, the Beirut Bar Association, along with the family of the late Bar President Raymond Chedid, organized a memorial ceremony in the Grand Lecture Hall, Lawyers' House. The ceremony was held in memory of Raymond Chedid's contributions to the legal profession.
Concurrently, a press conference by the medical team at Hopital Francais du Levant announced the launch of advanced robotic liver surgery in Lebanon, a pioneering step for the country's medical field. The event was attended by Health Minister Dr. Rakan Nasreddine and key representatives from the Beirut Order of Physicians, the Syndicate of Private Hospitals, and Arkad Lebanon's president.
