Beirut: Minister of Information, Dr. Paul Morcos, on Wednesday received Dr. Yousef Al-Omari, President of the Kuwait House for National Works and Khaleejiyon News, along with Press Syndicate head Aouni Al-Kaaki. The meeting took place in the minister's office and focused on the potential establishment of the Arab Union for Media's headquarters in Lebanon under the auspices of the League of Arab States.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, Dr. Morcos welcomed the proposal and expressed Lebanon's appreciation for the Kuwaiti leadership and media's efforts. He noted that this initiative could strengthen media ties across the Arab world. Aouni Al-Kaaki emphasized the unique media freedom that Lebanon enjoys within the region, suggesting that it positions the country as an ideal location for the union's base.
Dr. Yousef Al-Omari conveyed his support for the proposal, stating that the establishment of the union's headquarters in Beirut would bolster Lebanon and address broader Arab concerns. The discussions underscored a shared vision of cooperation and development within the media sector.
