Berri Conducts Series of High-Level Meetings to Address Lebanon’s Challenges

Beirut: Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday received former Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh. Discussions focused on the overall situation in Lebanon and the latest political and security developments.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Speaker Berri also met with Mohammad El-Hout, Chairman and Director General of Middle East Airlines (MEA), who briefed him on the company's operations and the challenges it faces, particularly in maintaining Lebanon's air connectivity amid ongoing national difficulties. Berri commended MEA's leadership and staff for their dedication.

Later in the afternoon, the Speaker welcomed Hajj Hamed Al-Khafaaf, representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani in Lebanon.

Separately, Berri received a letter of appreciation from Ousmane Dione, Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa region.
