Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri has decided to adjourn the general parliamentary session, which was set to address questions surrounding government policies, until 5:00 PM this afternoon. This decision was reported by our correspondent earlier today.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the morning session saw participation from 21 deputies who took the floor to discuss pressing national issues. The session remained mostly calm, with only a few arguments that were deemed acceptable. Key topics addressed during the session included the nation's security, the state's control over arms, an American paper, the implementation of Resolution 1701, the recovery of depositors' funds, and the ongoing issue of Syrian displacement. Additionally, some deputies emphasized the need for justice for public sector employees.
The session, which commenced at 11:00 AM, was attended by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, along with ministers and members of parliament.
