Amman: Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson, Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani, affirmed in a statement that "Jordan has been a pioneer since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the West Bank in employing all its diplomatic, relief, and media tools to clarify the dangers of what is happening and explain its repercussions for the region."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Al-Momani stressed that Jordan "will continue to support the Palestinian people by all means," and that "transfer is a red line." He noted that "King Abdullah II led a broad diplomatic campaign to intensify pressure to halt the aggression, and Jordan succeeded in achieving breakthroughs with global public opinion."
"Jordan, through its armed forces and the Hashemite Charity Organization, also participated in delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, including field hospitals and medical and food aid," he added. He also stressed that "the two-state solution remains the only realistic option," and that "the Israeli right's efforts to undermine this solution are doomed to fail," noting that Jordan considers the establishment of a Palestinian state a "supreme strategic interest."
On his country's domestic affairs, Al-Momani warned against attempts to target Jordan's security across its borders or through chaotic means under political pretexts. He emphasized that the Jordanian state will not allow itself to become an arena for any regional conflict or cross-border projects, and that Jordanian security agencies are capable of protecting national sovereignty.
Regarding relations with Syria, the minister affirmed that "there has been positive development in bilateral coordination, particularly on energy, water, and trade issues," emphasizing "the importance of Syria's stability, its return to growth, and its embrace of refugees." He also noted "a tangible improvement in security cooperation on the issue of cross-border drug smuggling."
Regarding the Lebanese issue, Momani emphasized "the depth of the historical relations between Amman and Beirut," affirming "Jordan's support for Lebanon in times of crisis, and the existence of royal directives to strengthen economic cooperation, particularly in the electricity network."
Finally, Al-Momani emphasized "the importance of responsible media," affirming "Jordan's commitment to freedom of expression within the limits of the law and the national interest," and appreciating "the deep relationship between the Jordanian and Lebanese peoples."
