Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Thursday met with Jean-Christophe Carret, Regional Director of the World Bank for the Middle East, and Enrique Blanco Armas, the newly appointed Director of the World Bank's Beirut office. The meeting focused on the portfolio of World Bank projects currently underway in Lebanon, with particular attention to those still awaiting ratification by the Lebanese Parliament.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions addressed the status and progress of ongoing projects, emphasizing the need for swift parliamentary action to ensure the projects' implementation. The meeting underscored the importance of these initiatives in contributing to Lebanon's economic stability and recovery efforts.
