Beirut: Minister of Education, Rima Karameh, on Thursday met with Social Affairs Minister, Haneen Al-Sayyed, to discuss Lebanon's national strategy for persons with special needs, focusing on the ministry's inclusive schools program. The discussions also included a joint plan for the return of displaced persons to Syria and preparations for launching a national volunteer platform to engage students in community service.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Karameh later met with a delegation from the Lebanese Forum for the Protection of Family and Values, which represents major religious institutions. The discussions were centered on safeguarding the family unit and reinforcing ethical and civic values through education.
In another meeting, the minister received a delegation from the Alawite Islamic Council, led by Sheikh Mohammad Abdel Karim. The talks were focused on the condition of public schools in Tripoli's Jabal Mohsen area, emphasizing infrastructure, staffing, and development needs.
All meetings concluded with a commitment to continued coordination and support for national priorities.
