Amman: The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday that the Kingdom will host a joint meeting on Tuesday to discuss the situation in Syria.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the statement said: "The Kingdom of Jordan will host a joint Jordanian-Syrian-American meeting the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, to discuss the situation in Syria and ways to support the process of rebuilding Syria on foundations that guarantee its security, stability, and sovereignty, meet the aspirations of its brotherly people, and preserve the rights of all Syrians."
It indicated that the meeting will be attended by Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad al-Shaibani, the US Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey and Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack, and representatives of relevant institutions in the three countries.
The Ministry added, "The meeting is a continuation of the discussions hosted by Amman on July 19, 2025, to discuss consolidating the ceasefire in the Soueida Governorate in southern Syria and resolving the crisis there."
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi will also hold bilateral talks with Al-Shaibani and Barrack.
Barrack commented on the X platform, writing: "This commitment affirms our collective resolve to move toward a future where Syria and all its people can live in peace, security, and prosperity."
