Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received a phone call this afternoon from Jordanian Monarch Abdullah II, during which the King offered his condolences for the martyrdom of the six soldiers in the tragic incident that occurred yesterday in Wadi Zebqin, Tyre District.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, King Abdullah expressed his country's readiness to provide the necessary support to the Lebanese Army during this critical period to help fulfill its role in preserving Lebanon's stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
President Aoun, in turn, thanked King Abdullah for his sincere condolences and for the support Jordan provides to Lebanon in general and the army in particular.
