Beirut: The Central Labor Office of the Amal Movement and the Central Unions and Workers Unit of Hezbollah have announced a postponement of their planned protest stand, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The decision to delay the protest comes amid calls for unity and stability from national figures.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the joint statement from the Amal Movement and Hezbollah highlighted the importance of national responsibility during this critical period. The organizations emphasized the need for in-depth and constructive dialogue on the crucial issues currently facing the country. The statement underscored the decision as an effort to strengthen the official stance, consolidate civil peace, and prevent any attempts to destabilize Lebanon.
The statement further clarified that while the protest has been postponed, the commitment to defending Lebanon's sovereignty, dignity, and resistance remains steadfast. It assured that the national outcry will continue to be voiced whenever necessary.
