Salam Engages in Comprehensive Discussions with Akkar Delegation, National Bloc, Al-Makassid, and MP Najat Aoun

Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Wednesday received a wide delegation from Jabal Akroum - Akkar, including mayors and religious, military, and social figures, who expressed full support for the government's decisions, particularly those related to arms control and asserting state authority across all Lebanese territory. The delegation also presented pressing development and social demands tied to the region's conditions. Salam reaffirmed the government's firm commitment to the Taif Agreement, especially the clause on exclusive arms control by the state, and stressed the need for balanced development across all regions.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam highlighted the strategic importance of the Qlayaat Airport project and praised the contributions of Akkar's residents to the military and security forces. Later, Salam met with the National Bloc Party's executive committee led by Michel Helou, who expressed full backing for the government's recent decisions, especially on the arms file, calling for broad national consensus.

Additionally, Salam welcomed Al-Maqasid Association's leadership, headed by Dr. Faisal Sinno, who invited him to inaugurate new hospital wings. Salam then met with MP Najat Aoun to discuss key environmental concerns.
