Geagea Discusses Developments with French Ambassador, Emphasizes Timely Elections

Maarab: Lebanese Forces Party leader, Samir Geagea, on Tuesday met in Maarab with French Ambassador to Lebanon, Herv© Magro, accompanied by Political and Media Attach© Romain Calvari, and Political Attach© Marie Favril. The meeting was also attended by Head of the Foreign Relations Department, former Minister Richard Kouyoumjian, and Department official Tony Darwish.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussion reportedly covered local, regional, and international developments. Ambassador Magro briefed Geagea on the atmosphere of the recent visit of French Presidential Envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian to Beirut and Riyadh, and the conferences planned to be held in support of Lebanon.

The attendees discussed various dossiers, including the implementation of the decision to restrict the possession of weapons to the Lebanese state and the need to expedite the required reforms. Geagea stressed the need to hold the parliamentary elections on time without any delay or postponement.
