Gemayel Engages European Delegation, Discusses State Building with Abdel Massih in Saifi

Beirut: Kataeb Party leader MP Sami Gemayel received a delegation from the European People's Party at the Kataeb Central House in Saifi. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss recent developments in Lebanon and the region. The delegation emphasized the importance of their partnership with the Lebanese Kataeb Party, noting the party's role in defending Lebanon's sovereignty.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Gemayel stressed the value of collaboration with the European People's Party on political matters. He reiterated the Kataeb Party's support for President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in their efforts to establish a stable state by disarming militias and pushing for administrative, financial, economic, and social reforms.

Gemayel also highlighted the significance of parliamentary elections, advocating for Lebanese expatriates to participate in electing the 128 members of parliament. The visit concluded with a floral tribute at the memorial statue of former Secretary-General Nizar Najarian and the victims of the August 4 explosion, underscoring the ongoing quest for justice and accountability.

Later, Gemayel met with MP Adib Abdel Massih in Saifi to discuss recent domestic developments. Abdel Massih, having recently met with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, expressed his support and condemnation of recent events in Beirut. He emphasized the need for collaboration with the Kataeb Party and other sovereign powers to bolster state institutions over militias.

Abdel Massih also extended gratitude to Gemayel for the Kataeb Party's support during his recent trip to the United States, expressing hope that the party would continue to advocate for a state structure in Lebanon akin to those in countries with significant Lebanese diaspora populations.
