Beirut: MP Fouad Makhzoumi issued a stark warning on his "X" account, reflecting on the aftermath of Gaza's recent conflict. He noted that the region has finally found peace, but only amid destruction and loss, with Gaza left in ruins and its children as victims.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Makhzoumi emphasized that Lebanon cannot afford to follow a similar path. He highlighted the persistence of some groups in Lebanon who continue to cling to the same armaments and illusions that have previously led to disaster. Makhzoumi argued that Lebanon is not in a position to withstand another such catastrophe. He urged the nation to relinquish weapons to the state to avoid slipping into chaos and collapse, underscoring the urgency for stability and governance.
