Annaya: Former President Michel Aoun and his wife, Nadia, visited the shrine of Saint Charbel at Saint Maroun's Monastery in Annaya. They were welcomed by the monastery's head, Father Milad Tarabay, along with several religious clerics, municipal and political figures, and a gathering of citizens.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the attendees, after taking a break in the monastery's lounge, were joined by the head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil. Bassil also visited the shrine of Saint Charbel in the monastery and offered prayers for Lebanon.
During the visit, President Aoun left a message in the monastery's registry, stating, "Today, we return to the pilgrimage site for Christians and other sects. Saint Charbel unites the Lebanese of all religions, helping everyone, and his holiness has spread throughout the world."
At the conclusion of the visit, Father Tarabay presented President Aoun and MP Bassil with a souvenir book about Saint Charbel, available in four languages.
