Army Chief Meets U.S. General Clearfield to Discuss Regional Situation

Beirut: Lebanon's Army Commander, General Rodolphe Haykal, on Monday received U.S. General Joseph Clearfield, head of the Cessation of Hostilities Monitoring Mechanism, at his Yarzeh office. General Clearfield was accompanied by U.S. General Michael Leeney, who was paying a farewell visit along with a delegation.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions during the meeting focused on the overall situation in Lebanon and the broader region. The talks also included the stages of implementing the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement, a critical component in maintaining peace and stability.

In a separate meeting, General Haykal welcomed Vice Speaker MP Elias Bou Saab. Their discussions revolved around the general situation within the country, reflecting ongoing concerns and the need for strategic dialogue to address prevailing issues.
