Beirut: Culture Minister Dr. Ghassan Salameh, on Wednesday received Hungarian Ambassador to Lebanon Ferenc Csillag in his office at the Sanayeh National Library. They discussed bilateral relations, particularly cultural relations, according to the ambassador's statement following the meeting.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Hungarian Ambassador expressed his honor in meeting with the Minister of Culture. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador informed the Minister that a memorandum of understanding on cultural cooperation between Lebanon and Hungary is in preparation and is expected to be signed soon to enhance cultural relations.
The Ambassador also mentioned an upcoming Hungarian exhibition at the Vatican in early November, focusing on the restoration of Lebanon's historic churches. This exhibition is part of the Hungarian aid program, which includes the restoration of 64 historic churches in Lebanon. The Ambassador clarified that the program is ongoing, aiming to preserve Lebanon's cultural heritage.
