Baabda: President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun met with former President Michel Suleiman at Baabda Palace to discuss the general situation in Lebanon amidst current local and regional developments.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, former President Suleiman expressed his support for the measures taken by President Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to rebuild the state and extend its sovereignty over all Lebanese territories. Suleiman noted that the efforts of the President and the Prime Minister have started to show results.
Suleiman also extended his congratulations to President Aoun for the upcoming visit of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to Lebanon, highlighting its significance on both spiritual and national fronts. The former President underscored the importance of holding the forthcoming parliamentary elections as scheduled, without any postponement.
