Beirut: Cablevision announces that it has initiated legal proceedings before the competent judicial authorities to combat the piracy of its television content, which includes channels such as beIN, OSN, MBC, France T©l©visions, M6, ABSAT, ART, LB2, and other networks and platforms for which the company holds exclusive distribution rights in Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, this legal move is based on the Intellectual and Literary Property Protection Law in force in Lebanon, as part of an effort to put a definitive end to this unlawful practice and to reaffirm the legal and commercial rights of the company and the international broadcasters it represents.
Cablevision reaffirms its full commitment to pursuing this case to its conclusion, expressing its utmost confidence in the Lebanese judiciary and its ability to safeguard legitimate rights - particularly those related to intellectual property, broadcasting, and distribution rights.
The company also extends its appreciation to the competent judicial authorities for fulfilling their duties and stresses that it will not hesitate to pursue all individuals and entities involved in acts of piracy, whether individuals, companies, institutions, restaurants, or promoters and distributors, using all legal means available to halt this financial hemorrhage, whose losses are estimated at several million dollars annually.
