Beirut: MP Farid Heikal El-Khazen received Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa, along with his wife, Lara, at his Qlayaat residence for a dinner banquet attended by several political, social, and media figures. During the event, discussions centered on the general situation in Lebanon and the region, with a particular focus on Egypt's ongoing support for dialogue and stability in Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Ambassador Moussa expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and described the challenge diplomats face in integrating into their working environment. He noted that openness, friendliness, and welcome make diplomatic duties more effective. Moussa emphasized Egypt's devotion and appreciation for Lebanon, reiterating Egypt's commitment to supporting the unity and stability of the Lebanese people, grounded in the historical fraternal relations between the two nations.
MP El-Khazen, for his part, acknowledged Egypt's pivotal role in supporting Lebanon and its stability. He highlighted Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's stance against the migration of Palestinians from Gaza to the Sinai Desert, advocating for their continued presence on their land. El-Khazen praised Egypt as a fundamental Arab and Islamic anchor for Lebanon and the region. He commended Cairo's active role through the five-member committee, which has enhanced its presence in the Lebanese arena through clarity, transparency, and engagement with the Lebanese populace.
