Patriarch Al-Rahi: Lebanon Needs Political Mercy to Turn Power into Service

Beirut: Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi stressed the urgent need for a transformation in Lebanon's political culture, calling for "mercy on the political level." According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Al-Rahi, during the Sunday Mass service in Bkerki today, emphasized that "Lebanon needs mercy at the level of politics so that power may become service, governance may turn into responsibility, and decision-making into a matter of conscience." The Patriarch also urged the Lebanese to move beyond the logic of division and return to a spirit of mercy, one that builds, reconciles, and restores their homeland's true mission.
