Jordanian, Irish Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments

Amman: Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, received Helen McEntee, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence of Ireland, to discuss ways to strengthen relations between the two countries and regional matters of common interest.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides highlighted the strength of Jordanian-Irish relations and their shared interest in expanding bilateral cooperation in the trade, investment, education, tourism, and defence sectors, within the framework of a strategic partnership with the European Union.

The ministers also reviewed the outcomes of the Jordan-EU summit held in Amman earlier this month and emphasised the importance of building on its results to further strengthen the comprehensive partnership, including preparations for the first Jordan-EU Investment Conference scheduled to take place in April.
