Manama: Major General Ghanim Ibrahim Al Fadhala, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), attended the closing ceremony of the 7th edition of the 5-kilometre Military Cross-Country Race for officers of the BDF. The event was organised by the Military Sports Federation of the BDF.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Major General Al Fadhala awarded cups and medals to the winners at the end of the race. In the individual category, First Lieutenant Abdullah Khalid Al Maqhawi of the Royal Field Engineering Unit secured first place, followed by First Lieutenant Khalid Hisham Al Rumaihi of the Royal Guard in second place, and Major Abdullah Abdullatif Al Shaikh of the General Command Garrison in third place.
In the team category, the Royal Special Forces achieved first place, the Royal Guard came in second, and Special Battalion 83 secured third place.
