Hajjar: Security Forces Fully Mobilized, Weapons Banned in Shelters

Beirut: Interior Minister, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, on Tuesday stated that the government is closely monitoring developments in the south, including Israeli attacks and incursions, which have led to significant displacement toward safer areas, particularly Beirut and Mount Lebanon. Following a Central Internal Security Council meeting, Hajjar emphasized that security agencies are actively ensuring the safety of both residents and displaced citizens, enhancing their presence through intelligence units and visible patrols.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Minister highlighted that security forces are accompanying rescue operations and maintaining strong deployment in Beirut and Mount Lebanon. Hajjar pointed out that weapons are strictly prohibited in shelters and warned that authorities will intervene when necessary, noting that several arrests have already been carried out.
