Salam Chairs Daily Ministerial Meeting, Focus on Security, Displacement and Relief Efforts

Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday chaired the daily ministerial meeting at the Grand Serail, with discussions focusing on the general situation, military and financial developments, and the needs of displaced citizens.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Information Minister Paul Morcos stated that Salam underscored the importance of daily coordination meetings. This comes in preparation for a Cabinet session scheduled for Thursday, which will concentrate on shelter and relief efforts for those affected by ongoing conflicts.

Salam emphasized the need for enhanced security measures in Beirut and other regions to prevent potential unrest. The defense minister provided updates on military developments, including Israeli attacks and the current border situation.

The ministers also reviewed initiatives to secure fuel supplies, support shelters, and mitigate the economic repercussions of the war. Additionally, there was a focus on ongoing coordination with media outlets to address and curb the spread of hate speech.
