President Joseph Aoun Discusses Humanitarian Aid and Military Support with UK Prime Minister

Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, engaged in a telephone conversation with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who conveyed condolences for the victims of recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon and expressed solidarity with the Lebanese people during a challenging period.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Prime Minister Starmer confirmed the UK's commitment to providing urgent humanitarian assistance aimed at alleviating the suffering of displaced Lebanese citizens. He emphasized the UK's willingness to collaborate with Lebanese humanitarian agencies to address immediate needs.

Starmer reiterated the UK's support for the Lebanese Army as part of the ongoing cooperation between the two nations. He also welcomed the ceasefire announced yesterday and praised President Aoun's efforts in achieving this milestone.
