Cabinet Approves Administrative Measures; Prime Minister to Visit Syria for Cooperation Talks

Beirut: Following today's Cabinet session held at the Grand Serail, Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos announced that the government approved several administrative items that had been pending due to the war. According to National news agency - Lebanon, Minister Morcos noted that the issue of negotiations was not discussed during the session, emphasizing that coordination on these matters is being handled at the presidential level. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam revealed plans to visit Syria at the head of a ministerial delegation to explore areas of cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations. The Prime Minister is actively working to consolidate the ceasefire, prevent Israeli attacks, and halt the destruction of towns in the south. Furthermore, Minister Morcos, in coordination with his Syrian counterpart, has submitted the case of the forcibly disappeared Lebanese journalist Samir Kassab for discussion during the Prime Minister's visit to Syria. Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Metri is expected to raise t he issue, building on previous correspondence from Minister Morcos.
