Beirut: An Iranian delegation traveled to Switzerland on Saturday to discuss the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed with the United States, Tehran announced. The delegation's visit aims to ensure the other party's compliance with the agreement's commitments.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated that the delegation is tasked with following up and demanding the fulfillment of commitments from the other party involved in the agreement. The delegation includes prominent figures such as Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Bagheri, Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati, National Iranian Oil Company CEO Hamid Pourd, Foreign Ministry legal advisor Kazem Gharibabadi, and Baghaei, among other officials.
Spokesperson for the negotiating delegation, Esmail Beghaei, emphasized the necessity of closely monitoring the implementation of commitments due to previous experiences where the other party failed to honor its obligations. The delegation's visit underscores the importance Iran places on ensuring that all parties adhere to the terms agreed upon in the memorandum of understanding.
