Beirut: Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi stressed the importance of establishing productive economic partnerships with Lebanon across various sectors during talks with his Lebanese counterpart, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, in Baghdad on Sunday.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, reported by Iraqi News Agency (INA), the two leaders chaired bilateral discussions attended by ministers from both countries. The talks focused on strengthening cooperation in the economic, political, and security fields, while exploring opportunities to expand bilateral partnerships in support of sustainable development and the shared interests of the Iraqi and Lebanese peoples.
Al-Zaidi highlighted the deep ties between Iraq and Lebanon, reaffirming his country's commitment to enhancing relations through broader economic cooperation in key development sectors.
Both sides also stressed the importance of close coordination to address regional challenges, support joint efforts to reinforce regional stability, reduce tensions, and help bring ongoing conflicts to an end.
