Beirut:Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence Kamal Shehadeh inaugurated the Experia Expo at the Forum de Beyrouth, representing President Joseph Aoun.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, Shehadeh emphasized the exhibition's importance in enhancing Lebanon's standing on the regional and global technology map. He expressed hope that the event would become a yearly occurrence despite the challenges and delays caused by the war.
He reiterated the government's dedication to creating a digital republic that centralizes citizens in public services, facilitating electronic access to government transactions efficiently and impartially. Shehadeh underscored the necessity for collaboration among the public sector, private companies, universities, and startups, especially as artificial intelligence opens new avenues for Lebanese innovation and entrepreneurship.
The minister extended his gratitude to organizer PromoFair, the participating companies and institutions, and ministry staff for their support. The exhibition, running from October 8 to 10, features technological innovations and digital solutions from various contributors.
