Acting Army Chief Discusses Ceasefire Implementation with Quint Supervisory Committee

Beirut: Acting Lebanese Army Commander Major General Hassan Odeh, on Wednesday received at his Yarzeh office, the head of the Quint Supervisory Committee (Mechanism), U.S. General Jasper Jeffers, accompanied by the committee member, French Brigadier General Guillaume Ponchin, and the committee's work team. The discussion touched on developments in the south and the stages of implementing the ceasefire agreement.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on assessing the current situation in southern Lebanon and ensuring the effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement. Major General Odeh and the Quint Supervisory Committee members reviewed the progress made thus far and identified key areas that require further attention to maintain peace and stability in the region.

The Quint Supervisory Committee plays a crucial role in overseeing the ceasefire agreement, which aims to prevent further conflict and promote peace between the involved parties. General Jeffers and Brigadier General Ponchin reiterated their commitment to supporting the Lebanese Army in its efforts to uphold the terms of the agreement and ensure the safety of civilians in the south.
