Al-Abiad, Yassin, and Arbid Discuss Crisis Response and Recovery Plans at Socioeconomic Council Meeting.

Al-Abiad: A collaborative working session was held at the Economic and Social Council, led by its chairman Charles Arbid, alongside Environment Minister Dr. Nasser Yassin and Health Minister Dr. Firas Al-Abiad, to address Lebanon's ongoing crises. The meeting focused on the national emergency plan, the humanitarian and health situation, and the distribution mechanism of aid, along with contingency plans for vital sectors. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Arbid emphasized the urgency of social solidarity and better organization, stating, "This crisis may prolong, and we need to prepare for the future." He called for the creation of an economic-social emergency committee to address post-ceasefire challenges and to revitalize Lebanon's economy. Arbid noted that many institutions have been severely damaged by the conflict, leaving the country in a state of paralysis. Minister Yassin discussed the growing displacement crisis, confirming that 45,000 families were currently in shelters, with many more outside receiving insufficient aid. He reiterated the importance of state involvement in managing aid and rebuilding efforts. Minister Al-Abiad highlighted the effectiveness of the health emergency plan, underscoring the importance of public-private collaboration in delivering medical services to the wounded and displaced. He stressed the need for continuous planning to ensure Lebanon's recovery post-crisis.
