Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, held a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, during which they discussed recent developments in Lebanon and the wider region, the Lebanese Presidency said. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the crown prince reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's support for Lebanon during the current period and for the policies pursued by President Aoun to safeguard the country's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. He also reiterated the Kingdom's commitment to assisting Lebanon across sectors identified as priorities by the Lebanese government and invited Aoun to visit Saudi Arabia for talks on issues of mutual interest. Aoun thanked the crown prince for Saudi Arabia's continued support for Lebanon and its measures to help strengthen the country's economy, and accepted the invitation to visit the Kingdom.
