Pilot Zone Operations Commence in Three Southern Lebanon Villages: US State Department

Beirut: The US State Department announced on Monday the start of pilot zone operations in the Lebanese villages of Froun, Srifa, and Zawtar Al-Gharbiya under a trilateral framework with Israel and Lebanon.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, this initiative marks a significant development following last week's discussions held in Rome between Israel and Lebanon. The operations are organized by the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon, highlighting a collaborative effort to maintain stability in the region.

Spokesperson Tommy Pigott emphasized the importance of these operations as a direct outcome of the recent diplomatic engagements. The United States remains committed to facilitating a successful implementation of the Framework, working closely with both Israel and Lebanon to navigate the complexities of this trilateral agreement.
