Baabda: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday chaired a meeting before noon at Baabda Palace attended by Saudi Foreign Ministry Adviser Prince Yazid bin Farhan, French envoy and former minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa, and the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia Walid Bukhari, Egypt Alaa Moussa, Qatar Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and France Herv© Magro, as well as Qatari Assistant Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Thani. The meeting focused on preparations for a conference to support the Lebanese Army and the Internal Security Forces.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, it was agreed that the conference will be held in Paris on March 5, and will be opened by French President Emmanuel Macron. Participants also agreed to carry out the necessary contacts to ensure the broadest possible international participation in the conference.
