Aoun Engages in Comprehensive Dialogues with Sultan Haitham as Visit to Oman Progresses

Muscat: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, continued his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman by engaging in private discussions with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq at Al-Alam Palace. This meeting was followed by expanded dialogues between the respective delegations of Lebanon and Oman.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Lebanese delegation included several ministers: Ahmad Hajjar (Interior), Michel Menassa (Defense), Youssef Raggi (Foreign Affairs), Rakan Nasreddine (Health), and Nizar Hani (Agriculture). On the Omani side, the delegation was composed of key officials such as Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Interior Minister Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Head of the Royal Office Hamad bin Saeed Al Aufi, Minister of Labor Mohad bin Saeed Ba'aeen, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, and Health Minister Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti. Oman's ambassador to Lebanon, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saeedi, was also present.

The discussions focused on issues of mutual interest, with both parties reaching agreements on several topics. These agreements are expected to be detailed in a joint statement following the visit.

After the meeting, Sultan Haitham bid farewell to President Aoun, while members of the Lebanese delegation continued discussions with their Omani counterparts. President Aoun also signed the Golden Guest Book at Al-Alam Palace, acknowledging the palace's importance as a symbol of Omani wisdom and diplomacy.
