Aoun Meets with MPs Karami and Abdel Massih to Discuss State Institutions and Regional Neutrality

Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, held meetings with MP Faisal Karamy and MP Adib Abdel Massih to address crucial matters concerning state institutions and Lebanon's regional stance.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, MP Faisal Karamy, leader of the Dignity Movement, expressed appreciation for the president's efforts in revitalizing state institutions. He highlighted the necessity of advancing this agenda through constitutional, legal, oversight, social, and humanitarian measures. Karamy also underscored the significance of completing essential appointments to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of governmental functions.

In a separate discussion, MP Adib Abdel Massih focused on Lebanon's regional position, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the country's neutrality. He noted that this stance has protected Lebanon from the consequences of the Israeli-Iranian conflict. Abdel Massih also voiced his backing for Lebanon's support of the renewal of the UNIFIL mandate in southern Lebanon, which plays a key role in maintaining stability in the area.
