APC Funds Vocational Program to Promote Jordan’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism.

Amman: The Arab Potash Company (APC) announced the funding of a vocational guidance program in cooperation with Jordan’s Ministry of Education. This is part of the “Youth Now” project implemented by Jusoor Company, a non-profit social responsibility organization.

According to Jordan News Agency, the program aims to empower 300 students from 11 schools in Jordan’s southern governorates. It will provide them with an educational experience focused on Jordan’s cultural heritage and equip them with skills for the labor market in this field, as stated by APC.

The program will include forming five teams to participate in a competition, where students will select archaeological and tourist sites in Jordan and abroad to creatively showcase these attractions. An ad hoc jury will evaluate the projects and select the best two teams, offering winning participants the chance to visit archaeological sites in Egypt.

APC Chairman, Shehadah Abu Hdaib, emphasized the company’s dedication to social responsibility and supporti
ng sectors with a long-term positive impact, particularly education. He highlighted the importance of investing in youth and empowering them with skills for a better future, noting the program’s role in preparing a generation aware of its heritage and equipped to face challenges.

Abu Hdaib reiterated the company’s commitment to initiatives that support Jordan’s sustainable development, expressing pride in supporting the “Youth Now” platform. This platform allows youth to explore cultural heritage and understand its economic and social dimensions.

The CEO of Jusoor Company also emphasized preparing a new generation capable of creativity and contribution to Jordan’s cultural heritage sector. The program targets high school students aged 16-18, offering opportunities to develop skills, research capabilities, time management, and professional guidance in cultural heritage and tourism development.
