Beirut: The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance on Wednesday announced that Army units will implement exceptional security measures across various Lebanese regions on the occasion of the New Year, with the aim of maintaining security. The Army Command called on citizens to cooperate with the security measures in place to safeguard public safety and prevent incidents. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Army Command also warned against celebratory gunfire, stressing that violators will face legal prosecution due to the serious threat such actions pose to lives and public safety. The statement further reminded citizens that permits to carry weapons and traffic facilitation cards remain suspended until 2 January 2026.
