Army Chief Meets with UNDP Official to Discuss Support for Lebanese Military

YARZEH: Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, held a meeting on Friday with Blerta Aliko, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Lebanon, at his office in Yarzeh. The meeting focused on strategies to enhance support for the Lebanese Army in fulfilling its responsibilities across the nation. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions between General Aoun and Aliko centered on the various ways the UNDP could assist the Lebanese military. The dialogue aimed at exploring collaborative efforts to bolster the army's capacity to maintain security and stability within Lebanese borders. The visit by the UNDP Resident Representative highlights ongoing international efforts to support Lebanon's defense forces amid the country's complex security challenges.
